A brick storefront on a Toronto neighbourhood street

Food from someone who knows how it's made.

We started this because our family lives hours from the people who would cook for us, and a new baby is coming. We wanted a freezer stocked by a real person, with the recipe in plain sight.

Read why we built this

Meet the cooks

You're buying someone's cooking, not a faceless kitchen. Every cook has a storefront with their story, their recipes and their pickup times.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Find a cook near you

Enter your postal code, or answer five quick questions about who you're feeding.

  2. Step 2

    Pick what you will stock

Frozen meals, baking and preserves, each with the recipe, the cook and the day it was made.

  3. Step 3

    Pick up at their door

One cook, one pickup. Made ahead and ready to keep. Bring a cooler bag. The exact address appears after you order.

  4. Step 4

    Freeze it and enjoy later

Stock the freezer and the pantry for the nights you cannot cook, and follow the cook's heating or opening notes.

No approval, no selling.

Anyone can post food on a Facebook group. Here, a cook applies first and we check their paperwork before a single meal goes live. If a certificate expires, their store pauses automatically.

  • Identity and business details
  • Public health notification for home kitchens, or an approved commercial kitchen
  • Food-handler certification and liability insurance
  • An allergen declaration for every meal, and a label we generate for every batch
